It's us or them.

I love being black. I love my people. However, I am by no means a radical activist, so I'm usually not one to cry out "RACISM!" at every turn of events involving a black man and white man.

With that being said, am I in the freakin' 1920s? What the hell kind of supposedly "post-racial" (yeah, I know) country do we live in where a white MAN can kill an unarmed black BOY and GET AWAY WITH IT?! This man literally got away with murder, claiming it as self-defense. The boy was unarmed and 17 years old! Come on, man.

I can't really say I'm in awe at the injustice at the hands of the law because it's been happening for years. And as much as I pray that it gets better, it seems that it's only getting worse.

It's us or them. And they don't care what they have to do to keep us from progressing.

Break of Spring.

Last night, I went with my mom and her best friend to see Brian McKnight. It was in a casino, so I was feeling a little out of place because most people looked twice my age. But I looked cute, so it was cool. Also, he's actually a way better singer than I thought and awesome all-around performer.

Today, I haven't been doing anything except watching television and eating. Literally. That's all I was planning to do all break (plus sleep &homework), but I have eaten alot today. Like I don't even want to list everything because it's embarrassing, lol.

Laugh to keep from crying, I guess.
